Duckai is the artist, Ezekai Robinson is the person. Behind my actions is a desire to cultivate a beautiful life and to share what I’ve come to know. I enjoy many things but primarily I enjoy making music.
I started music haphazardly at the age of 11. My parents both being artists themselves made me feel comfortable expressing myself through a creative medium. Through trial and error, I pushed myself to see how much I could teach myself in the world of music. I’ve become a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer, composer and audio engineer. In being self-taught I identify with the raw, rough and unrefined ideas and work towards making one of a kind projects.
On a deeper level, the arts show me that everything has a purpose; even the mistakes. It brings me great joy to live and be inspired by the world, while also adding something of my own into the pot; hopefully inspiring others to do the same.
